Saturday we set out with Khal and friends from Monroe, NJ to do a combo Stripers and Tog trip only problem is the stripers were not all that cooperative. Apparently we missed out on a very early/short bite, my fault, I stopped short of the area we had been fishing on some good bait readings. By the time I got to where the fish were it was all over, we pounded the area hard but it didn’t happen for us. Ran to the tog grounds and found redemption, had a really solid tog bite, kept our boat limit with the promise to back for the ones we released on Wed.

Sunday morning open boat trip with Nicky, Danny, Jodi, Al, Fran and Andy. I put my blinders on, the throttles to the pins and run right to the spot. Lights out Bass fishing with two fish on before the boat stopped moving!! We kept our boat limit of slots and one over releasing about a dozen more. When things quieted down we switched over to bottom fishing and topped off the box with a couple Tog…Fall fishing at its finest!!
