Headed out Friday with a great group of guys right to the blackfish grounds, wanting to sharpen up for opening day. Had okay fishing most of the day, little bit of an off bite, biggest maybe around 5-6lbs. Had a few nice Seabass as well as porgies. Sat on one spot most of the morning and then hit a few others to look for some bigger fish. Found more keepers but no big fish. Real nice day on the water.
Saturday we tried to get offshore but it was definitely a no go. Really evil out there. So we went back to the blackfish grounds and picked all day. The bite was still off but better than Friday. Also had a bit of a weird current as well but fish still chewed. Had more quality fish Saturday as well. We were hoping to still head off later in the day but the Wind never backed off when it was supposed to. the guys still had a great time.
Sunday we didn't get out but heard the bass bite was insane!
Only have a couple openings left in November for blackfish :
11/16 (wed opening day) - 1 spot
11/24 (thurs) - 4 spots
11/26 - 1 spot
11/27 (sun) - 3 spots
