Met friends Bob and Mike at my marina, decided to leave my boat in the slip and jumped on Bobs boat "25' Seafox " for a quick 43mph ride south around the hook by the 3 mile line and tossed shads at Bunker schools with readings under them. It was a little sporty out there and no hits. Took a ride by the outer edge Raritan bay by the channel and set out the parachutes. While reeling them in to make a move I caught a nice 43" 28lb Striper that we released. Then we picked up 3 more around 25lbs and a 27" . We decided to run fast back to the marina as the sun was setting , Nice short trip with good friends.

It was just so nice out yesterday, we took a spin from SRI all the way up to the Highlands and then back along 3 mile line... lot's of bait all over ... we tried bunker spoons, mojos and even shads when we saw the bait getting blown up, but couldn't get anything to bite.... guess the fish out there were enjoying this rare Summer Day in October TOO!!! Felt like middle of Summer out there so no complaint's..... and seeing all that bait, hopefully they'll hang around until the water temps start dropping soon and I think we'll see an Epic Bass Run. :D

Not sure Dan, Bobs boat doesn't have a thermometer on the sounder. The beverages were ice cold.
