How deep is the pt pleasant canal?

Hey quick question that has been on my mind. How deep is the canal? I imagine near the bridges it's probably pretty deep, but since many of you have boats I'm curious if anyone has an idea of how deep it varries?

The canal is a lot deeper than the approaches- Barnaget bay side might be 5'

It varies big time, by the Rte 88 bridge on the north end it is easy 30 ft at the elbow or mid way it is 25 to 30 ft and just south of the south bridge and south of the Marine police barracks is 25 ft avg for the rest 12 to 20ft its got some deep holes in it

there is a spot by the #11 escape ladder that is 40 feet

better question is what the hell is on the bottom as theres about 15inches in the whole canal where its not gnarly bottom lol
