How's the surf looking?

Hey guys,

Got a nice opportunity to get off tomorrow and friday... Was thinking of hitting the OC surf perhaps tonight. It's hard to gage from the surf cams but has anyone had a look at the beach, is she a rockin and rolling? I guess I could resort to the bay but I really want to bust out the boots, surf bag, and 11' lami.

The forecast was for 18mph winds NE so I did not make the trip...will wait 'till the storm passes...I fished Hudson river up north today for big blues which were feeding on bunker all over the river...something different...see 'ya all alter, Robbie

What area of the Hudson were you fishing Brotha?

awesome to hear about the blues In the Hudson, I actually live upper west side NYC, I always see guys fishing along the river but never remember to bring a rod back up with me. Now you got me thinking. Every time I've fished the Hudson it's been north of the tappanzee in the spring and i do OK... I have hiked the palisades along the Hudson from fort lee - alpine and saw a few very fishy secluded spots.

I think I'm making the trip down since my family has a house down there tonight and will throw plugs and shads by the bridges tonight with the tides... Tomorrow will see how the surf looks and worst case go for some blackfish in the canal, and probably get some eels for the night game.
