Surf Report Today

Sandy Hook gave up 1/2lb blues in the surf today...10mph wind from the north all morning...rough surf but in the afternoon things calmed down and the fish made a showing...will be back there Friday for more fun in the sun/surf..

Stayed on the bayshore yesterday & today. Blues chasing peanut bunker. 6 yesterday, 8 today. Not 1/2# -- 2 yesterday 23" ( 4-to-5#?). Today 22" was the biggest, most of the others 17"-to-20". See my reports on the wmi-dot-org website. North wind was not too bad.

Were they hitting bait or metals? I only use top water lures and metal this time of the year ..many on the beach were using peanut bunker and caught sea robins...thanks for the reply, Robbie

Metal -- 1oz Kroc spoon. Today, 9/22, was not as good. 3 bluefish 15" to 16" in 4 hours of throwing lures. Peanuts were there, but I did not see them "spray" very much, not as often as the previous 2 days.
