Well what can i say besides it was an awesome day on the water today. We left a little early this morning thinking it was going to be busy again. Got to the boat set up on the bow and hung out for a while. Seemed like people wanted to fish in the stern today as dad and I and one other guy were the only ones on the bow. It was great. So much space. So we leave the dock at 8 and head out to the fishing grounds. Little bit of a wet ride out but nothing bad. Will slowed the boat and honked the horn and we dropped down. I didnt even jig more then 3 bounces before i get hammered. Lift for the sky and my rod doubles over. Right away i knew i had a big one on. Call Gina and she came running. Got the fish up to the boat and she scooped it up and there was the dollar fish! Fished weighed in at 5.5 pounds. Now thats a way to start a trip! From then on it was intense. Shorts were thick but the keepers were there. Dad got the next fish and it was another nice one around 4 pounds. Then dad got another one and another one and next thing i know he is ahead 3 to 1. Damn!! Will makes some moves and i put a few more keepers in the box. Then we are tied at 4 fish each and Gina and Steve were up front with us and said to each other who is going to limit first. Dad or Jr?? Both voted for dad but as soon as they said that i get hammered and guess what. I got my limit! It was pretty funny. Dad hooks up to one right after and the fish wasnt fighting to hard on the way up so he didnt call for the net. Once we could see the fish it looked good so he yelled and right before they could net it, it shook free and swam back down to the deep. Sucks! Looked like a nice 4-5 pound fish. Dad drops back down and we drift along and then he hooks up again and this fish comes up and goes right in the cooler. There was his limit!:D We move around a little and we get a few more shorts and then it was time to head in. We ended the day with the 10 fish and sooo many shorts! Pool fish weighed in at 8.2 pounds. It was a big girl!! Great time with good company! And as always it was a top notch operation! Water was nice and clear/clean again today too. Now some fish porn!

Some beautiful fish. Best part is a day on the water with your father.......as great as that is for you I can assure you it's a father's dream fishing with his son. Doesn't get any better than that regardless of how many fish were in the cooler at the end of the trip. Years and precious times you'll never get back so enjoy every trip and consider it a thank you to your father for all he's done for you in your life! Thanks for sharing, it's what the sport is really all about! Anybody ever tell you you guys could pass as father and son.....lol!

Yeah i am really blessed to be able to enjoy a sport like this with my father that we are both so passionate about. Like everyone knows we fish together all the time. We both do some trips solo but most are us together. My dad got me started fishing when i was 11 and we have not looked back since. My grandfather took him fishing when he was young and now he does the same with me. Grandpa now that he is 93 cant get out on the boat but we make sure to take lots of pictures and bring him an endless supply of fish to eat. On my moms side of the family my moms grandfather built and ran a fishing boat out of point pleasant for years. Tillies sport fishing. Its in my blood and i hope to pass this to my kid one day.
