Golden Eagle - BIG BLUES & ALBACORE

We had a decent day of fishing today. It was fairly steady in the morning. When we first got to our spot on the reef, we started catching BLUES that were 3 - 5 lbs. We had anywhere from 3 to 5 fish on at a time for about 45 minutes and then it tapered off and we started to catch the big ones. The BIG BLUES weighed from 18 to 22 lbs. These are the biggest of the BLUEFISH and are fantastic. Everybody had a great time catching these BIG BLUES and there were a lot smiling and happy people getting off the boat. We also had quite a few ALBACORE and the guys had a great time with that. There were people on the boat today that specifically wanted ALBACORE and they were not disappointed. Everything was caught on bait and Run Off hammer jigs. Also, the circle hooks seemed to work the best. So with the fish we were catching today in combination with the number of fish that we saw out there, there should be plenty of good fishing in the future.
