It was the first day after the storm and the fishing was not so good today. We checked out a lot of spots hoping we would find some of those big fish but no luck so far. There were some fish up to the northeast but they were skittish. They bit some Fluke bait but they didn’t want to bite jigs. We did have some on and we had some followers They would follow the jig up but then they would swim away without biting it. There was a bite inside Raritan Bay this morning - some small BLUES. They bit good for a while and then they just disappeared when the tide changed. The results were not as good we would have liked today but we did see some fish and we are now waiting for the ocean to settle down a little bit after the wind storm we just had.
