We had some nice Bass on last night's trip. Pool fish was 35 pounds. We had another 30 Pounder as well as a handful of other nice keepers. 90% of the fish were caught by 10% of the people. Sailing tonight at 6:30pm.
THERE IS NO BRAIDED LINE ALLOWED ON NIGHT TRIPS.

Thinking about doing a night bass trip with you.
So that I bring the proper Rod/reel and tackle are you jigging, live lining, chunking, clamming, eeling, worming ?
We started off jigging. Some small blues, then it died. Switched to eels and that was the go to for the remainder of the night.

Those are beautiful resident stripers. The capt knows his stuff and has been doing this many years. When 10% of the anglers are catching 90% of the fish pay attention to what they are doing and how they are rigged.Fancy store bought rigs catch fisherman.

Thank the Lord Capt. Dan still has some of his Old School Bass Fishermen and the patience to deal with the guys who don't get what we are doing. These guys stay at the rail while he gets back on the piece for that 5 minute shot at catching the fish. This is Spot fishing folks, hit them and reset on the drop...certainly not for the faint of heart.. Watch and learn, don't criticize a Captain who is still busting his ass after 35 years! Actually had a customer question why he moved every 5 minutes. If you are a True Bass Fishermen, you put your trust in the Captain who lives this every night. Sure, we could take you out and put you on a drift for 20 minutes catching Crap but that's not how we roll on the Fishermen. Great to have a Captain who still gives a Shit, we are a dying breed.......

Is there no braid allowed because of the prop shaft? Or is it better for the bass. Never eeled for bass before

The tangles at night are a PITA with braid. So im sure that has something to do with the no braid

How would you like to be hooked up with your bass of a lifetime & the fish is at the boat & your screaming for the net & the mates a tied up trying to untangle braided line.

In my experiences brais is easier to untangle.. But ive only fished on a partyboat or charter boat a handful of times so i personally wouldnt know. Thought it had to do with the fishihg

No its more due to the fact that its a pain to untangle. Its not easier to untangle. It knots up. Most guys fish the dark colored braid with isnt that visible at night
