Party Boat Angler Monday report

When I look back at todays fishing I am glad we sail early and only wish we were earlier. The fluke were hungry when we started with our best fishing being on the first 2 drifts. After that it was slow with mostly shorts. I wpnder why people would wait at the dock when an early bot is leaving. Tom the Vet from Piscataway was happy on his first trip on the Angler when he boated a 27 inch 7 pound plus fluke on the second drift. He then had a 15 minute fight with the one that got away. We never saw the beast but it took him 3/4 of the way around the boat.

We ended up with some nice fluke and sea bass but only 1/2 of what we had over the weekend. I hope we get an extra hour tomorrow.
