Another great day with the porgies today on our Wednesday open bottom trip.
Ran up the beach after leaving the inlet and got fishing at around 8. Amazing readings when we got to the spot and we had fish on within minutes of the anchor coming tight. Needless to say the fishing was fantastic with loads of double headers and just endless bites. Only difference today compared to last week was that Today we didn't have near the amount of shorts we had when we did the same trip last wednesday.
We didn't move the boat, and we didn't even let out any anchor line - ONE STOP SHOPPING.
Wound up with an EASY boat limit of porgies by 11:15 (after a little over 3 hours fishing), most were 9.5-11" with the biggest one going 13". Also had 1 trigger, 1 keeper seabass, 3 blowfish and 2 Taylor blues. We blew through 2 full bushels of clams LOL -- Finished up fluking and had some shorts and 1 right at 18. Loads of meat for everyone today.
Great trip with a great crew and happy birthday Eric Clark!
