Thursday we ran an open trip for ling/cod/flounder. Most of the morning was nice with the cloud cover. We watched a lot of rain showers go around us but never got any of them. The bite was picky most of the day, and the first few hours we had to drift because there was no current or wind. We finally got a strong breeze that we werent supposed to get but it helped us out. We worked 4 different pieces and just had to grind at them. Joe was HH with 3 lobsters and Andy had 2 as well as a nice cod and a little surprising we didn't have any flounder. Still wound up with a cooler full of fish, count was around 120 but not bad for a picky bite

Today, Friday we had out the Response electric group for fluke. Had another great day with keepers as soon as we stopped. Most drifts we pulled at least 1 keeper but then the drift would change and we wouldn't have anything. Had a decent amount of keepers and shorts along with some blue knuckle seabass before we lost the drift. Then we sat on top of a few numbers, without moving and plucked a few more before we made a move and found some movement and a lot more fish. Ended the day with our boat limit of seabass and a cooler of fluke up to 6.4lbs. Dave was the beneficiary of the large boy but he dropped another nice one early in the day and then lost his pole on one of the last few drifts of the day setting up on a fish. We were up to 12oz at one point but once we lost the drift we dropped down to 6oz and stayed there the rest of the day. And almost all the fish were caught with bait. Only had one guy bucktailing so the fish were definitely hungry ! If we kept the drift all day we definitely would have had our limit. But we left them biting and will get the rest tomorrow!

We do still have 3 spots for tomorrow,SATURDAY, for fluke so give us a call.
