Hey folks, Capt. Glenn here. We headed out this morning into the ocean with only 14 passengers. It was somewhat of a bumpy ride out. The ocean was still riled up from last night’s breeze. We went out to about 50 feet of water. Our first two drifts we did not catch much, some sea robins and short fluke. Meanwhile, the ocean started to settle down on our third drift. We started to pick away at a bunch of seabass and short fluke and a few keepers on that drift. As the ocean settled down the conditions got better and keeper fluke started to come over the rail. Our mate John boated one that was 9 -1/2 pounds. Then our galley guy caught one later which was 6-1/2 pounds along with some nice knucklehead seabass coming over the rail. Those were the two biggest on the boat. But a couple of the customers caught three and 4 pound fish and we picked away like that for the rest of the day. Most everybody had their 2 keeper seabass to go home with. The high hook of keeper fluke was 4. Everybody else had between 1, 2 and three keepers. So needless to say the action was good and steady. We expect it to be the same tomorrow so come on down in the morning and get a good spot to fish on the boat. See you tomorrow. Thx., Captain Glenn. Here are some pics from today's catch.
