How does this Friday look for offshore weather? Got another tile trip offshore this Friday on ns boat. What are my chances this time? I'm seeing purple indicating high winds again this time.

I wouldn't think he'd sail with winds at 20 to 30 predicted throughout the day.

NOAA's saying 15-20 kt Fri/ Fri night, 10-15 Sat---but we all know that'll probably change...

Personally I use NOAA as a bench mark for the worst of conditions. While they are the "national" prognosticator there are many other reputable sites that offer in-depth free and in my opinion more accurate predictions. You have to remember also the NOAA coastal perdition is up to 20 nm out. Also and most important use the hat rest sitting on your shoulders before sailing.:)

Tile fishing weather requires moderate wind for the drift. 20 to 25 mph is usually too strong. I was hoping for some experienced tile fishermen to chime in, they know what Jeff will sail in or not.

more like 5:30. I have a 2 hour drive to get there, wish he would make the call at noon.

You won't sail if the winds are over 20kts I've been
Blown out on that boat six times last year and beginning of
This year

Well, we sailed. Rough ride out which meant no sleep. dropped lines at 8:00 and started out with small to medium size blue lines. Sea anchor kept us from using 5lbs of weight, so after a long day my group ended up with exactly our 3 man limit of blue and golden tile. Nothing huge but good numbers at least. Couldn't fish as deep as the captain would like due to the steady 15 to 20 mph wind so consequently no big Golden tile came up. Good crew, good dinner of blackened tile fish and salad to top the day off. A little Jack on the Rocks up top and then a nice relaxing ride back in to dock, with sleep!:D
