I'm scheduled on a 2 day tilefish/wreck trip on a non-sponsor out of Pt. Pleasant on the 1st to 2nd. This is my first 2 day trip and I'm wondering if anyone else on the board has done a trip like this in July and August and specifically do they anchor up at night where I would have a shot at tuna or swordfish? Just wondering if it is worth bringing my tuna and swordfish set ups.
Any feedback would be appreciated.

I would just contact the Captain of the boat for guidance.

absolutely bring them... or maybe your tilefish rod can double as a tuna stick? I would bring a mahi rod as well with a 1 ounce white spro already tied on ready to pitch

Typically they do anchor up at night but unless it's a tuna/tile they wot be chumming.

Just remember, if you do hook-up, when that tuna gets near the boat and doing its spirals, most likely going to pick up a few braid lines on the bottom/wreck. just sayin......
At any rate, catch 'em up...

Captn will move to shallow to anchor <200ft, maybe spot a few squid. You'll be too beat from reeling all day that u won't move out of that bunk. Bring a Mahi rod as during the day they tend to make a visit.

Dave from reel seat is the man... Did I say talk to Dave... Other than that, bring the green stick and have at it!, but talk to Dave first!
Ahh good, also- get his circle hook tile rigs with the large bulb glow sqid on them, buy 4 in case you tangle, just get your rig up and have it cut as you are already tying another rig on, don't wait to be tangle
Free, cut your shite off and let the mate get your rig
Back to ya! Best of luck brother!

I always see a few guys break out a trolling setup between moves. Last year we had a white marlin check out the spread and a mahi was landed on a jet. Good luck!

One trip last year folks landed a sword along with a few other hook ups.

Thanks for all of the comments. I'm going to bring a sword set up with some large squid just in case along with a mahi set up.
