Headed out early sunday and started off decent. Maddy is starting to get the hang of fluke fishing and getting more fish to the boat. she nabbed a keeper early! I fought in two fish at 17 3/4" on the dot released  but soon after got two real keepers and John got on the board with a keeper as well and i picked up one more later on in the day while we were fighting the weird currents and drifts.

About an hour and a half after low tide we just stopped getting hits and moved around a lot...every time we found some fluke on a decent drift the current would change or the wind would change and the bite would be done in that spot. The whole day was just frustrating...wind against tide, under currents ripping, wind changing direction and speed...it was a tough day, but the end result was not too bad: 5 keepers for 3 fisherman (but one is still in training ) though no keeper was over 19".

Yep - Fluking is all about conditions. Some times you have them and most times you don't. You either have to move to where the conditions are more favorable or overcome them by using a drift sock, power drifting or casting your Bucktails up into the current.
