My two brothers and I took my dad out for his 78th birthday fluke trip on Raritan bay and we had a great day of fishing and best part was my dad was high hook!

Tried three areas we had some luck last weekend but drift was way too fast with 15-20 mph winds so me made a run to try an area out of the wind and was the right move.

First drift was a good one two keepers with one going around 6 lbs and another fat 20 incher. We continued working this area for the rest of the day with a steady pick of keepers and ended day with 20 keepers couple nice fish around 4 lbs and 15 or so shorts.

Two things that really helped us today was we were using a large drift sock which really helped slowed our drift down and having live bait as bait out fished jigs with gulp 5 to 1 with the fast drift.

Great day for my brothers and I taking dad fishing for his bday and happy to return favor for all the trips he took us on over the years!
