Leaving early paid off again as we had our best conditions when we started the day and our best fishing. it didn't last to long and an east wind came up against the current and the drift and fishing slowed up.Conditions conditions conditions. The fore cast was for south winds which would have been great but not east. Anyway it was not like yesterday but almost everyone at least had a keeper.
Mike Ozeransky from Brick won the pool with a 6 3/4 pound fluke.

The last 3 Saturdays have seen big catches and our best fishing of the year. Conditions look ideal and we will try to sail by 6:30 AM. We have been lucky with this for 3 weeks.

Some more fluke and I had to take a picture of the unbelievable lack of traffic going south on the GSP at 3:15 just north of the Asbury toll. Friday July 1st the start of a 3 day weekend. You never know.

Yooooooo!!! No pic of me with my keeper? Oh man! Definitely started out promising with that first drift! Myself fishing next to Walt had some good action to start the day when the conditions were right! Sometimes it just doesn't happen! I have enough Fluke for a meal so I can't complain! Thanx for giving it your best effort Cap'n! Relaxing day for me which is a plus!
