Only a handful of keepers on the first drift so i moved were we had fish 9 days ago and we started banging away at some nice fluke and an inbound ship killed it. It took a while for conditions to improve and when they did we started to pick again. Bait was probably best with Jay Slomovitz from Springfield catching his limit fishing in the middle of the boat, I had some good bait draggers catch only one and some jiggers did well with 3 or 4 keepers while others didn't. Fishing was not as good as it has been but we still had over 50 keepers. `
Big John was using the large gulp with a 2 hook rig and had a nig fluke get away when the second hook got tangled in the net. Joey told him he'd get a bigger one later and he did and he won the pool.
After getting burned by the weatherman last week will be down in the AM looking to sail.
BIG POOL $1920
THanks Captain George
