WOW what a day. Today was my annual fishing trip with my crew of neerdowells from work. Myself, Poppa Vince,Cousin Jerry, Henry Kilo, The Dude, Miggy, smooth Duane, The monstah, My brother Jimmy, Coleman the rainman,Billy aka Christopher Robin & Special guest Fisting Frankel made up the crew. Got to boat at 5:15 loaded up & had to wait for our entrée of Broccoli rabe,17lbs of chicken cutlets, roasted red peppers, sidgy olives, Hot Soppresatta, asiago, fresh mozzarella & sharp provolone & fresh baked cascias rolls to arrive from souf philly at 6:15am.
We shoved off to flat calm seas & no wind, FIRST TIME FOR EVERYTHING! ran north & east & had drop n reel action. You had a fish on every drop whether it was a mountain trout, Jumbo Sea bass, Pin Sea bass, Banana cod something was on. We had to have brought over 500 fish aboard. We kept 180 ling, charter limit of 120 Sea bass, 1 winter flounder & a 35lb bass we got on our way home along the beach. We safely released countless pin sea bass & banana cod. The sea bass were either big or dink very few 12.5 on the dots. We ate like pigs, drank & had a blast.
The guys from work have not stopped texting me & all morning our discussion has been how unbelievable amazing the fish monger is. They said it seemed like we were on a cruise ship there was so much room to fish, eat, & chill. The motor boxes make great places to lay & catch a tan too I don't think id want to fish on a boat without that. We do a stressful job & Captain Jerry, Nathan & Mike gave us an incredible day at sea that these guys will never forget the professionalism is uncanny. Everyone's already counting the days until next year & I am counting the days until next Sunday :)
