Left the dock 7:30am sharp on Saturday morning. We steamed for about a hour and the engines start to come down.the capt finds what he wants and blows the horn.we start drifting, waterwas like glass.filp out the jig hit the bottom take 4 cranks and fish on, 14 inch sea bass.picked fish all thru the drift with many shorts.this went on for the first hour and half before the wind starting coming on.Now that we have some anchoring conditions the cap make a small move and drops the anchors.it is game on a much better keeper short ratio.we made for or five drops with all producing, some better than others.i did put the jigging rod down for twenty minutes on one of the drops that had some good ling and flounder and got 2 nice ling and a fat 16 in
flounder.sunday was abouth the same.the jigging was great but the short to keeper ratio was not as good on sunday.did manage to get my share on both days.two great days to be out on the water.
