Trying to gauge interest still from people I work with, but was wondering if there are any boats out there that may be better than others for this purpose. Probably a good amount of people who wouldn't know what they're doing but would still want to show people the fun in a day out on the water! Any help is appreciated. I would estimate between 10 and 20 people might be interested, but I'm still working on getting heads.

Yup agreed, for the amount of people you're thinking Kenny on the Mimi is probably your perfect choice. If you go over 20-30 then it might make sense to check out some of the larger boats.

If you have 17 or less the Last Lady 2. Capt Ralph always gives a 110% you wont be disappointed.

With mixed group and non-fisherman I would stay in the bay. Lot of good choices.

All the recommended boats are good.
My suggestion is get a headcount and decide what you want to target for fishing . Then better suggestions can be made for what boat can accommodate you and your group the best

Thanks very much everybody. I put feelers out so I'm waiting to get a better count. I think we'd be targeting fluke...something that doesn't require a long run and can still give some good action especially for beginners.

I have chartered the Mi-Jo from Atlantic Highlands for work groups just about every year since the early 2000's. Perfect for a Corp outing, big, modern, super clean and they cater to this clientele. All boats in Raritan/Sandy Hook Bay have more options for finding calmer waters when it's windy which comes in handy esp when the group has untested sea legs. Feel free to shoot me a PM if you have questions.
