If you have been buying the red 3 pound boxes of whole squid for $6.99 it is no more. The company went out of business. That was a good deal and the Shoprite was on the way down to PP on rt34.

I was buying the pre cut rings. Thaw out a few and just pinch with the fingers, place on hook and you are done. A little more expensive but a lot less work.

That's not good. Fortunately I have an H Mart Asian store near me selling cleaned squid for $4.99 a pack. Two long pieces that cut up nice for fishing.

I get mine at local Fish Market that sells large, cleaned, whole squid bodies ("suitable for stuffing"). Some of them are over 7" long and are very thick. I pick through them for the largest bodies.
They make excellent strips.

That Sucks!!!! They were perfect size to fish whole on a 4-6oz. jig with stinger hook.
I hope they find another company that has similar size squid.

The Asian market by me just got another brand with same size squid but they are selling for $11.99 a 3 pound box. Worth it because those whole squid win pools.

I forgot to ask my sister but today when i was at shop rite i peeked in on the sea food and they have frozen squid. Just the hoods and whole squids. Two different size whole ones at that. And the hoods were a good size as well. The packages were decent sized as well. Forgot to look at price:mad: but im going to get some for my trip Friday so ill post up
