Paramount Friday

Got to the boat early and had a 26" striper within 2 minutes. Rest of pre-game was slow other than the amorous horseshoe crab couple that I snagged. We started out sea bassing with a pick on the drift. Unfortunately the drift was fast and the fish did not really bite on anchor. We went deeper for a pick of ling and some good jumbo flounder fishing. Ray Byrant won the pool with a 6lb cod, he had a limit of flounder, a sea bass and 5 ling. I had 5 sea bass, 9 ling and a limit of flounder. Sea bass ran from 0 to 6 keepers per man and ling were 4 to 10 ling per man. Everyone had a flounder limit with many ORL.

Thanks for the report. Looks like the Ling finally showed up. Good to see the flounder are around.

never had a bad day on the paramount. Whenever i have a bad day on another boat, I hit the paramount just to make sure I don't really suck that bad at fishing.. I usually get my butt kicked by the locals anyway, but on the paramount I find I can still catch fish, because they always seem to find them... bob
