Are you fishing on a boat or yak? If so, use deep diving jigs for the eyes.

i fish from shore and in my single seat canoe,i have used a bunch of different jigs from curly tail jigs to paddle tail jigs and fluke style jigs. i have gotten walleyes on bass spinnerbaits single colorado blade 1/4 oz to 1/2 oz.my biggest one i caught thru the ice at big swartswood lake jigging for perch with a jiggin rapala. it was a 8 pounder.

Nice going with those wally's also chuck some Rapala husky jerks at them they will attack those, also blue fox spinners do the trick just as good. Keep whacking & stacking 'em!

hey fasteddie i would rather gouge my eyes out with a hot poker than spend any time on a perfect waste of real estate. golf is for old folks and wealthy people with to much time on there hands.not for icebadgers, i wont give up until i figure those fang perch out.tight lines bro.

Well then! It sounds like your determined which I like! But skunked in 6 trips? Are you casting the damn lure in the water or onto the beach? Just curious!?!??

thanks jigman, i have been slowing it down to the point that i'm hitting bottom and getting weeds.husky jerks are fished on slow twitch retrieve, even tried the twitch twitch pause like fishin smallmouths in cold weather.maybe i'm just to much of a bass harasser to get this walleye thing.

this week has been very tough and slow as far as i have seen, so i wouldn't worry about it too much. just keep trying and it will pick back up.

you should be NOWHERE near the bottom right now. If your stickbait dives more than 2ft below the surface your arent doing much. reel so slow you think your reeling too slow, and use your ears not your eyes. 4-5" stickbait that floats up high, rapalas are too high you have to grind down lip unless you fish an F18 and reel and pause it back to the top. Bigger is better theyre slurping 6" herring
