From a good source. Bigger bass are coming up the coast. It is early yet . May is only half done and the ocean run is always best in June. It ain't hardly over. The post spawn fish did not come back out of the Hudson and the Chesapeak fish did not get here yet. The best is yet to come!

Right on Sal.... Love the live lining fishing on the ocean side in June. It doesn't get any more exciting then that...
See your bunker flapping up top.... A tail and a fin come up behind it, bunker starts dancing, clicker starts screaming and the next thing you know your tight on a beautiful NJ Striper.
Where you going after that??

Let's hope for the sake of the fishing businesses you are right.
54 degree water at cape may still.. 52 off sandy hook. that's the surface temp.. its much colder than that on the bottom in 50' . the water is cold .. there is early bait everywhere trying to stay warm in the back bays still and the real ocean bait pods are still to come ... bass guys are going to have a great spring i really think this is just the classic lull between the raritan bay bite early spring and the ocean side later.. has anyone tried to make a right and drag spoons off IBSP?... i would bet the biggest kind of bass are moving in there soon.. the early southern bite fishing is silly the fish are hungry waiting for the bunker to move through.
