Thinking of getting this one for general fluke duty. Anyone have any experience with it?

check the guide train with the weight you are going to use... Does it have an even bend thru out the entire bend.

Sounds good ! MH , Fast action , 7' One piece . The most important thing is you have to like it , not us . I think it would be a great fluke rod .

they are nice rods. But in that price range you are in custom territory. I would look at a fish poison. Get it built exactly to your liking. If I was going factory i would look at tsunami classic rods. You can get 2 for the same price. One for light bucktails and one for the heavier weight.

Agree with Milhouse.... Go see Kevin Bogan FIRST and you won't look back ;)

I have a heavier Tsunami Classic and I like it. Just looking for something different.
I'll stop by Bogan's next time I'm in PP.

I looked at some Mojos last year and they had too few guides. At rated load, the line was crossing the blank.

I've used a medium heavy mojo bass freshwater rod for a few years now. And it handled buck tails up to three ounces no problem.

Check out the Penn Battalions inshore .
The 12/20 is great for bucktails up to 6 OZ
anything heavier I use the 15/30.
Super light rods with a ton of backbone.
and the are very reasonably priced

They seem like great rods. I haven't actually held one yet.

I have one. Its the medium and its a good rod. Fish light bucktails with it. MY dad has the MH and he has had no issues with it. Fishes up to a 4oz with it.
