We headed down to Ocean City for a turn and burn trip for tog on a NS boat with Sven of the Hook, Tunarun, Togman316, Scooter and Eric S. Capt gave us an out because of serious winds 20-30 WNW or if we wanted we could fish in shore. Surveyed the boys Friday and we decided to give it a go as weather forecasts are always wrong. Well unfortunately for us they go this day correct. 6 am was beautiful ocean but stiff winds. Capt decided to go out as far as he felt safe about 10 miles. Set up and dropped it took 15 seconds before I was hooked up on a nice 8 lb fish. Togman hooked up quickly after roughly same size. Quality fish being boated and busted off a couple (Dennis lol) Togman man and Dennis boarded a few more then it slowed. Seas picking up by now. Capt said let's try one more drop before we headed closer in. Got a couple more in the boat and it started gusting to 30-35 could have been more. Capt said we need to pick up and move in shore more. Great call. Bumped or way in and set up. Some fish came aboard mixed shorts and keepers. Then Sven sets the hook on what others thought might be bottom. Togman316 fushing next to Sven and Sven know this isn't bottom. All they know is it's big what ever it is. I'm thinking huge cow nose mate Kevin think Ray. It. Goes on for a bit as we see a light colored blob about 10ft down. I say it's a grouper !!!!! Lol It's Tile Fish !!!! I have no clue of coarse because still not enough to see. Gets closer and we see it's a huge Drum They gaff it and put in on board. Freaking thing is huge. Get back to weigh it. It easily bottoms out a 55? Scale. We guess 60-65 lbs . Congrats Sven awesome job fighting that fish. Here's the pic
