Amazing day to cap off the spring blackfish season! Had another great crew on board today. The inlet this morning was definitely no fun at all, breaking through some nice 10 footers. A little bumpy in the ocean but not as bad as yesterday. Set the anchors, had some weird conditions so we had to reset and then game over! Had great fishing the whole rest of the day. Didn't break our 16lb record from yesterday, but Mari had a real nice 14.4lber. She did let her big slob go! we had a rookie blackfisherman and after a little bit he started slamming them. Had them on white and greens today. Also had Mike who caught most of his upper 30-some odd blackfish on a JIG! He was definitely HH today and missed a double digit on the jig by just a few ounces, believe he had a 9.8. We had probably a dozen fish all between 10 and 14lbs that we let go. And our surprise catch of the day was a pollock!
We will start cod fishing next Saturday weather permitting, have 4 spots open so give us a call.
