Spent the morning running to the Manasquan inlet to fuel up. The Belmar Marina gas will be closed with no date for reopening. What a hassle to waste over an hour running to the Manasquan gas dock. Not sure why no one is talking about this. The company that broke the gas line should have to provide a floating gas station or a tanker by the boat ramp. Any thoughts among my fellow SRI boaters.
On a positive note I was able to pick a 2 man tog limit between the inlets. Best way to save fuel is limit out close to port.

Found out Saturday after dropping the boat in the slip.
Was told it was supposed to be up and running 6 weeks ago.
So asked around yesterday what the real deal is.
Of course 10 different stories.
But all had the same ending, of NO definite time frame of when they would reopen.
Sad they have put selling booze over the boating community there.

Hope it's fixed quick. I as many others depend on it as fueling source....

That marina has been a cluster cluck for the last 10 years. The ramp has been a joke for a decade, the new docks are a make work project, and the parking lot often looks like a war zone. The boat owners and other tenants should get together and do something about it. Put the rent into an escrow account and let the town respond to the damages claims.

That wont last long in a big boat LOL
unless your going to do it 6 times.
place is definetly a war zone.
f idiots fishing the wall lately want you to drive around their lines at the boat ramp.
no gas, no parking,
just one giant mess, and the town doesnt care.

Maybe a few if you on here want to make arrangements for a fuel delivery truck. I've done it a few times at our Marina since they removed the fuel pumps after Sandy. Not diesel either, gas.
It's usually 20 cents or so higher then on the road and most companies will want a minimum of 100 gallons or so. If you can coordinate and get more people at the same time you'll save another 5 or 10 cents per gallon.
Must really suck having to take a ride all the way to Manasquan for fuel.
