Well it's been a loooooong time since I have been out striper fishing in the yak. I had a small window this morning to get it done. It was a wet ride with the rain, but my dry suit kept me dry inside. I fished from about 7:30am to 9:30am and got 5 to 35". I think the large one "liked" me a lot...see the pic.... sheesh, he could've asked me my name and kissed me first
I saw a bunch of other yakkers out there, along with Fred Gamboa, the Prowler and some others.
Good times with tight lines!

Nice fish looks like you really excited him!
I miss salt water fishing from my yak. Haven't done it in a few years. Some of my best trips were from the yak.

Were they hitting plugs?
They were taking an SP Minnow sand eel pattern. I also tried a white swim shad for a few minutes and got a couple of hits but no hookups.
