I am in the market for a lever drag 30II speed reel. I love Shimano and I am leaning towards the Tyrnos. I have the 16II speed on my jigging rod and I love it. It is a power house of a reel.

My question is what else in your opinion would you recommend for about the same size, drag poundage, and line capacity? I'm not to concerned about the weight of the reel.

Depends what you're using it for but I'd opt for the shimano talica. More money but it has a Similar gear ratio, higher drag and made much better. I own 2 use them often without any issues

I have a couple of Tyrnos 30 2 speed and have had good luck with them. The Talica + Tiagra are much better reels and that's reflected in the price. Like the man said depends what you use them for.
