Its one of the more plainly colored Wrasses I have seen.. Other than our northern species which are drab, most southern Wrasse are more colorful... bob

I believe a type of wrasse called an Upyour. It's in the Stickit family. Look it up on Google Images. Did it smell funny?

looks like a miniature golden tile, so I'll go along with the "sand tilefish" theory.

Sand tile and slippery dicks are the same fish. This is the juvenile color form for the puddingewife wrasse, adults look totally different, I'll post one of them soon. The name always reminds me of a certain charter captain. :D
