I am thinking about some additional lighting maybe under gunnels and through hull , any suggestions? Thanks

Check out Batteries Plus Bulbs either at their stores or online.
They have many LED options from replacement bulbs to LED Strip Lighting already 12 volt. I purchased LED Strip lighting for my home and was shown several options for my boat.
