When will we start seeing some more tog reports, or is everybody pretty much done with it? I know the charters are packing it in, how about the party boats?
Even though winter has been fairly warm weather winds have not been good. Normally over the winter you get 50% of your charters in. I was planning on doing a bunch of trips in Jan and early Feb and have only gotten 30% of the trips in. The marine forecast have not been kind to us even though tog are still there to be had.

I will be out on O.E hopefully next weekend on the 20th. I would be happy to report the trip. Fishing was good before the weather for me but did get blown out a bunch. Usually is slower up this way this time of year, but limited two Saturdays ago cant complain, next trip should be a skunk, lol. We will be in starboard stern side with yellow bibs on if anyone wants to say high, pending the weatherman of course. Catch em up & have fun most of all.

What was wrong with the OE that it was waiting for parts? I read that on their website.

Bobby has posted an update on his site about his repairs. We were getting hits from blacks with crab, and Mikey was cutting clam when some started to get hits with crab tipped with clam. They had em on board. Three of us went through a half bushel of whites and some snails easy. I don't like to fish without whites this time of year find greens hit or miss.

Sorry, Not gloom and doom, just realistic. Look at the content of the topic we are both replying to.
The boats are all in port these days after December or so, where they were busy year round at one time.. there's a reason for that, wouldn't you agree?. I am very hopeful of better days ahead for all the traditional year round fisheries we once enjoyed in the NY Bight, I really am... bob
