I'm putting this up for my boy FinS, he missed out on this deal last time. The price dropped to 40.00 but it's $5.00 shipping for entire order plus tax.
I received one of these for Xmas and these are premium coolers up there with Yeti.
For me the rod holders were key. No more worrying about rods getting banged up, and it gives me 4 more rod holders on my boat....not that I need more!:D:eek:

Maybe if you didn't have a phobia of rocket launchers you wouldn't have to worry about your rods??? Just a thought!'

Steve & Doug, you're going to love this cooled..it's perfect size for the fishing we do. Cool Hand Al texted me he ordered one also. I know you guys will dig them

Good luck this coming year.

Scotty!!!! We're too short to reach the rods from atop the rocket launcher. I'm doing you a favor.

Here is a quick review on these Engel Coolers / Drybox. If you are looking for something to hold ice for days this is not the cooler for you. I would not call it a cooler at all as insulation is at a minimium. It is really better suited for day trips or used as a dry box.

I have the 30 Qt with rod holders and Cushion that i added as an accesory so i can sit on it as some of the boats i fish on have limited seating. I love it and use it as a tackle box. The rod holders is nice addition to keep your rods near by and not just thrown in with a bunch of other rods on party boat or small boat with limited rod storage. You can never have enough rod holders on a boat.
Do not have to worry about zippers getting stuck like traditional canvas tackle bags from being sprayed on with salt water. Think of it like a plastic box with a seal that will not let water in and keep whatever content you have in there dry. As mentioned this is my 3 rd year using it and it is holding up very well.

Don, that site is a one day deal. They usually bring them back so I'll keep an eye out for you.
Some times when they bring them back they're cheaper than the prior time, like in this case went from 49.99 around Xmas to 39.99 yesterday.

Sorry you missed out.

Amazed that they can offer them at that price. They appear to be of very good quality, regardless of how they hold the temperature.

Gave my Engel 19 a try. Held ice for two days in my trunk of my suv with minimal meltage. Grant it, it's winter but temps still in 40s.
Overall it's not a heavy duty plastic cooler but I believe for a day trip it will be fine to hold drinks, lunch, and fish for the ride home.

I got mine a few weeks ago I have yet to assemble it. It's going to be my drybox tackle box maybe I will keep my secret baits in there as well.
