Rock bottom 12/30 blackfish

Had the Ron South group out for some blackfish today. Still had a leftover swell from a few days ago and apparently the blackfish didn't like it. We covered a lot of ground today both shallow and deep but the fish just would cooperate. Some spots had nothing at all. Some had a few fish and then that was it. But the weather ahead is looking pretty good so the ocean should flatten out more and hopefully they'll be hungry. We will be back at it tomorrow and during the weekend.

Thanks for the report. We were out there yesterday as well about 10 miles SE of BI. We had a crew of 5 and could only manage about 18 keepers to 12.5 pounds by lunchtime. 90% of our fish were caught on the back end of the wreck that we were fishing.
