After not sailing for a week we were greeted by a big ground swell which made for tough anchoring and fishing conditions. We did have a good bite however most fish missed the mark and went back. The bow did much better than the stern on the first two drops. No lack of bites with some nice fish mixed in. i fished the first 2 drops in Archies spot and had 4 keepers to 7 pounds and at least 15 shorts. Greens with the legs om were best. Gus Plagainos from Staten Island was also up front and had 4 keepers to 6 1/2 pounds and the pool.
The weather is nasty Mon and Tues but we will be out on Wednesday and Thursday. I have not made up my mind on Friday New years day. The cold weather headed our way should help the off shore fishing. The ling are over due.
Wednesday at 7:00 AM next trip and the galley will be open.
Thanks captain George
