plenty of bait, bird, porpoise and Bluefin tuna life 4-6 miles off Manasquan inlet today. we saw several size classes bfts, and the amount of fish around was truly surprising. getting them to look at a stickbait is a different story, fish moving very fast and focused in on small bait. 2 guys fishing had 3 bites out of what felt like 3 thousand casts. unfortunately all three pulled the hooks ! fought one about 80-100 pounds for a brief time before she came unbuttoned. went home partially frozen and empty handed but was happy to see the life off NJ in late December! really was hoping to post a photo of a Christmas Bluefin today but it wasn't meant to be. honest report ! merry Christmas NJfishing crew. Wow getting 3 hooked up is an accomplishment in itself, it's a shame you couldn't land one of those babies. Nice job!

Thank You for the report. It seems that everyone is scared to say anything because then all the fish will be caught by someone else.

I thought I saw some big splashes under the birds while Togging with Chad on the Tagged Fish yesterday.

We saw the porpoise under the birds yesterday at the sandy hook reef. I looked for a while, even had my popping rod with me but didn't see any tuna. Too many boats around.
