Golden Eagle - Fishing Report

It was a little disappointing today. We got one BASS and one BLUEFISH. There was plenty of bird life and bait and the fish were there but they didn’t want to bite.

We will not be fishing until Saturday, December 26th and then we will be sailing every day between December 26th and December 31st.

Happy Holidays and we look forward to seeing you on board when we start sailing again on December 26th.

I think the Captain meant striped bass.

Just wanted to take this time to express what a pleasure it was to fish with the Golden Eagle this year. It certainly was a tough year for all the blues boats, many miles covered and too many not so good days but one thing remained constant, the effort by Captain Rich and his crew, Johnny, CJ, Matt and the rest. Always upbeat, always lots of laughs & ball busting with a great bunch of guys that make up the regulars. Didn't matter if we had 10 like today or 90, same effort, no bitching and moaning about the money they lost on days like today. The enthusiasm for catching fish is alive and well on the GE and it's infectious, that's what it's all about.

Merry XMas to the Captain, crew and regulars of the GE. Hope we can squeeze a couple of more good trips out before it's over. (it's not over)
