A co-worker from the police department is trying to purchase a Christmas gift for his father and grandfather. He wants to get them a day of fishing near the Sarasota area. Anyone have any tips or information I could pass along? ? Thank you

John

I have fished with charters on Shark and SharkII out of sarasota marina depending on what you want to target. Also Capt Joe Miller out of Venice Inlet on Fish Galore Off Shore( check out his website for reports). Highly recommend his trips. 6 pack charters @ $200. All day fishing for grouper, snapper, amberjacks, shark, etc. PM me if you want more info. on his trips.

Forgot to include one of the party boat sites I have fished with also:

WOW!!! nice offer

Beat me to that Taxman.... Thank you Willie! May take you up on it in the spring. A day of offshore on my usual trip for the bigger boys and a day in the back bay would be great fishing "therapy"
