About as close to lock jaw I've experienced so for. On top on weird. Put a crab brown one quite bite they took the good stuff never finished. We spear hooked a few. My thought was they were down there just protecting the food after that first small bite. If you swung hard you gotten in the belly

was out saturday. They bit great until about 9 oclock. After that it was a lot of the bite you described Joey

Yep - It was a tough bite anyway you cut it and the day before the fish were suicidal. That's Blackfishing ;)

Thats exactly how my past several tog trips have been over the past few years.. Just not hitting at all, or little scratch bites that are gone instantly, and not many being caught by anyone on the boat.
My problem is there is not really a " I'll get em' next time".. Next time my be a year away! I have been rethinking blackfish trips because of it.. Just can't seem to get down there and have a day when the fish are aggressive.. Not in a long time anyway... It is somehow comforting to know i am not a total hack, and others have been on trips where it seems there are simply no blackfish down there... bob
