Hey guys & gals as many of you know Had Birchmeier recently passed away. I am sure many of you fished with him before. The arrangements are as follows a memorial service on Saturday, December 5, 2015 at Foster – Warne Funeral Home, 820 Haddon Ave, Collingswood, NJ 08108. 11am-12pm visitation and 12pm small service.

PLEASE tell everyone we will be asking that if they would love to share a fishing story about Had during the service, we would love to hear it.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to help in constructing a memorial reef off the Jersey Coast in Had’s name. Donations can be made payable to: Had Birchmeier Memorial Reef Fund and mailed to Rehab Excellance, 1010 Haddonfield Berlin Road, Suite 401, Voorhees, NJ 08043

I had the pleasure of fishing with him a few times. Rip Gods speed to the big pond above. You certainly will be missed but never forgotten. Prayers and condolences to all family and friends, there certainly were many

Sad to hear this. I met Had probably 15 years ago on an offshore wreck trip on the Big J. After that I seemed to run into him constantly on many offshore trips whether sailing out of Brielle, Barnegat Light, Wildwood....... Good fisherman, even nicer guy.

My favorite saying which I repeat is what Had said to me one morning this past spring on the AS at daybreak while tile fishing. He was in no hurry to drop down ,just sitting there on the bench in the bow. I go, what's up Had, R U Not feeling well? I'm Fine, There's No Dirt On Me Yet!! I Loved it!!! Dennis

A nice way to remember Had JMURR I like what you posted. I had the pleasure of fishing with him on many occasions with his son Rob. It was very sad news for me I feel like I lost a brother. RIP Had your now fishing where there are no fishing regulations.

You are one stand-up guy Alex, Jmurr too. Karma will be yours.

May he rest in peace.
I will send a donation.
He can watch over our heirs fishing adventures on his reef.
Peace and tight lines to both of you as well,
Tom K.

Thanks for the kind words. Working closely with his daughter to get things going
The old guy left us on top of his game as he was Seabass fishing and ended up winning the pool that day
