fished Saturday with capt chad and mike on the tagged fish.was a little concerned about the wind as it was puffing pretty good.we loaded up and left the dock at 6am.we get to the spot and anchor up.it takes about 5 minutes and we start to catch a few fish.the bite just kept building and building until it was suicide togging.we were boxed up by 10am and played a little c&r before heading home.it was great to see 3 and 4 fish on at once.after we boxed up I broke out the jig and started practicing,it was not long before I was dialed in and catching some nice fish.my son was having a tuff day but pulled a 10lber
that was released.Capt Chad & mike run a great trip and the new boat is sweet
to say the least.it was a great day with a great crew.one stop togging at it best.

I was out on a friends boat and we had the same type of fishing 6 man limit by 9:30. definitely a trip to remember. Hey Bunker Dunker what ounce jig were you using?

It was a beautiful day to be out blackfishing. The ocean was a little nasty, but that is often when they want to chew. And chew they did. They started right away and continued until we lost the tide. They picked away during slack and then started right in again when we had the tide. Jay, Frank, Ed, and John were just bailing them. Chris and I were picking up the rear. It is not often the case that the Capt puts you on too good bottom, but that is what was slowing me down. I was losing rigs left and right while everyone is bailing fish. I finally left the snarly bottom and started catching. I got 9 keepers then switched to the jig and put 8 more in the boat. A big thank you to Chad for letting us stay out a couple of hours with just the catch and release. I am not sure how many we caught but if I had that many imagine the number with the other guys just bailing them. Chris had a beauty at 10 + but I am sure that he is still thinking about the one that was pulling drag and running and then just came unbuttoned. He may not have had the quantity, but he sure had the quality of the day. A great day, great crew, and another great job by Chad and Mike.
