Had the privilege of fishing withTony two times,Tommy googan, Bobby backless, Fast Eddie, Gary got lucky and Joe fish. Made the choice early to head to the black fish grounds and deal with the sloppy seas. Found what we were looking for and anchored up. Fish on immediately. We fished the same piece all day never needing to make a wiggle. Ended up with 12 quality fish to 8 lbs releasing at least three times that amount of just barley legal shorts.

Quality Captain, great riding & well-equipped vessel, & your super-mate Andy, allowed a rookie Tog crew to put a dozen nice keepers in the box. Had a great time with a great bunch of guys.
I learned stuff again, including a new recipe which I'll try on the grille today.
Will endeavor not to pull any googan moves next time and will try my best to minimize any rig donations to the tog hole you put us on.
Hope the striper cakes I made from last week's trip didn't cause you any digestive problems.

Be well guys and a Happy Healthy Thanksgiving to all.

I guess it is time for an honest report about activities aboard the Roman Round on 11/21. Capt. Nelson left out the fact that he mugged me to catch that 8 lber. Despite great mate Andy,s efforts The Capt. continued to mug, especially Uncle Tony, who for the 1st time was held scoreless, Tom "The Man" Kaye was as always a gentlemen and contributed to The group, Ed "The Bass Assassin" got going late, but fished hard all day. Gentleman Gary was silent then put 3 keepers in box in 20 minutes. Lastly Joe Fish, I am not sure he got the message that we were targeting tog, if it was bergalls he had a banner day. He also caught a beautiful fluke with a crab, I never saw that happen before. In summary, good boat, excellent Capt. (for a mugger), outstanding crew and good people = a great day on the water.

Bobby, bobby, bobby,,,,,
Always cracking jokes and rarely catching fish.
But always having a good time and bringing me beer for the filleting festivals afterwards.

Mugging is the art of sliding from a position you chose on the deck, prior to fishing. Than sliding into another fisherman's spot when he is ( mugging the fish) one after another.
To prove I did not mug tony.
He wasn't catching a thing all day. So mugging was impossible.
Love you guys.
See y'all on the 28 th.

FYI. I can't help I always catch the biggest fish.
