We had an excellent day today on striped bass ,we were limited out with all nice big fish up to about 30 pounds by 10 am . we left there , and went further up into the bay towards home , and spent two hours jigging the biggest bluefish you could imagine . The guys that caught the bass , When they first hooked up with these bluefish thought they had 40 and 50 pound bass on , some of these bluefish were 20 pounds , Again we bled all these fish that we kept , and we filleted them. these fish came out nice and light and probably were not eating much bunker . they came in from the ocean , and they were loaded with anchovies and Sand eels , Giving them a much milder flavor than fish that have been on bunkers for a long time ,or Fish that were caught with chum. It was a beautiful day perfect weather striped bass ,between 17 and 30 pounds , most fish were in the 21 to 22 pound bracket ,and bluefish that would rip your arms out of the sockets .you can ask for a better fishing trip . Our next open boat is Wednesday then again on Friday call for information ,and reservations . PS Monday, November 16 starts the black fish season, we will be back down in our shark River location for that, and . for the rest of the season . We have space available opening day and throughout the rest of the week . Again call for information and reservations.
