Was crabbing the Navesink and Shrewsbury Rivers yesterday. On way back to the ramp, saw a single large dolphin in the Shrewsbury right by the junction of the two rivers about 16:30.

Wonder if he/she was a prior River visitor? Water temps are still mid 50's and lots of bait in the water you can now see 3 feet down in.

I was drifting worms between the bridges on Saturday and saw a pair of dolphins breaching. My fishfinder was lit up with a ton of marks, so I can only assume they're feeding and not necessarily lost.

1 large Dolphin has been in the river for almost 2 weeks near the Sea Bright area...

3/4 bushel in 3 hours. That's why I fled the Navesink (and the ramp) to the Shrewsbury.

We were over by Coney Island last week looking for bass and we had at least a HUNDRED Flippers swim by us. Big ones, little ones.
We were NOT marking bait so I guess they were passing through.
A great sight to see 200 yards off the beach!
