AM - This mornings open boat trip started off with some action right away. Picked a bunch of nice keepers and then for some reason the action died. Took a ride and found solid action boxing up our legal limit and throwing back a bunch of keepers. Ended the morning with 11 keeper sized fish to 20 lbs (only keeping our legal limit) and 1 bonus fish.
PM - This afternoons open boat trip we ran into some bird play on the way out and the guys landed a few shorts right off the bat. Didn't want to waste to much time with the shorts so we took a ride and found some nice fish on the troll. Managed to land 3 quality size fish and pulled the hooks on a few others. Took a ride to where we had them this morning and proceeded to fill the box and play catch and release. The guys wanted to jig a few more fish on the light tackle, so on our way home we ran into birds with school size fish and the guys went to work with the shads. Ended the afternoon a little early landing 6 keepers to 18 lbs and around 30 shorts.
