We kicked off the season this past Saturday taking the Labbate Charter out in hopes of some early season bass. This was definitely a change of pace for us because we have been running to the canyons for the past 5 months but definitely a nice change. We made the haul north out of the inlet in the direction of recent reports and when we got there, we were greeted by more bunker then anyone needs. Reminded us of the spring a couple of years ago. Anyway we snag n dropped all morning in hopes of the bite turning on but it just never developed. We had one 30 inch fish at 11 and that was it for the day. Trolled umbrellas and stretch’s south for an hour and didn’t have a touch. Not exactly the start to the season we were hoping for but a start none the less. The guys on board were great and worked hard to catch fresh bunker all day giving it everything they had.
We will be running both bass trips and canyons trips for the next few weeks so read the reports to follow us. We also have a few Sundays available in November for charter so call if interested. Its time to GET ‘EM GIDDY!!
